Job Description

Position Summary:

The Sr. Data Analyst – Commercial Sales will work alongside the commercial business team supporting and advising management on strategic and market decisions resulting in better business performance by: explaining and driving performance within the business; presenting a dynamic industry, competitor and economic context, supporting strategic decisions; advising on key business planning opportunities; and providing ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.

This role has responsibility for assisting in the development of the data collection, preparation and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting solution. The individual will work to develop the data and reporting strategy of sales data for Caris Life Sciences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a Management Analytic System consisting of standardized purpose-built dashboards and reports that provide the information needed for common management duties
  • Rationalize the numerous existing reports and dashboards to provide a consistent foundation for understanding of the business by all colleagues
  • Leverage graphs, exception highlighting, and other visualizations to enable rapid understanding of data
  • Schedule and deliver recurring reports to service the needs of various constituents including management, operations, and finance
  • Create ad hoc reports (potentially integrating data from multiple sources) to address the one-off information needs of the business as they arise
  • Manage and maintain sales territories and other master data
  • Deliver and manage the reporting required for the payouts of commission, SPIFs, and contests
  • Provide actionable insights on performance vs goal assessments and advise management on recommendations to improve business results
  • Assist management and other colleagues with interpreting dashboards and reports
  • Present updates (written and/or verbal) on business results using insights from dashboards, reports, and/or adhoc analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in designing and building dashboards and reports
  • 3+ years of experience with modern Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, and/or Marketing department
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (macros, vlookups, etc.)
  • Proven experience combining data from multiple sources to produce reports and analysis
  • Proven experience managing master data within a CRM program (Salesforce CRM preferred)
  • Ability to effectively communicate the output of dashboards, reports, and analysis to management
  • Conditions of Employment: Individuals must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or Holidays.
